Takaya-ike Marshland and Tengu-no-niwa Marshland, located 2,100 meters above sea level on the trail to Hiuchiyama, one of Japan’s 100 most famous mountains, are said to be a treasure house of alpine flora, and together with the view of the Northern Alps, offer beautiful scenery that is called a paradise on earth.
From July to August, the Hakusan kozakura (Chinese chervil), chinquapin, kobaikeisou, yotsuba shiogama, tsugazakura, aonotsugazakura, and kotsugazakura all bloom at the same time.

Hiauchiyama (Mt. Hiuchi)
One of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan. It has been selected as one of the 100 most famous mountains for its flowers, and alpine plants can be enjoyed everywhere along the trail, including the Takaya-ike marshland and Tengu-no-niwa garden.
Wooden paths have been maintained to prevent the deterioration of the trails, making them easy to walk on.
Grouse, which are no longer seen outside of the Alps, continue to live in the rich natural environment of Hiuchiyama.
